A Fresh Flower Studio

31 Jan

Same Quality Flowers, Same Owner, Same Talented Staff! As we transition from the Cedar Grove Gardens that you all know and love into “A Fresh Flower Studio” that we hope you will come to rely on and love for your future fresh flower needs just remember, we are only a phone call away!
Rest assured going forward with our new fresh flower studio, you will enjoy the same quality flowers and the same amazing talent. We look forward to our continued relationship and playing our small part in beautifying all of your special occasions, less the gift section and garden center. We ask that you continue to be patient and vigilantly open our emails and watch our social media pages to stay updated and informed. Flowers can still be ordered by calling the same number 617.825.8582 or through our website https://www.cedargrovegardens.net/ The road may seem bumpy at first but keep in mind as the old saying goes…”bumpy roads lead to beautiful places”.
Also, rebranding will be part of our transition as we start to lean into our new business model. Please familiarize yourselves with our new graphics so that you know when you see them, we are still the same quality florist that you have been with for over 40 years.
If you are wondering about Valentine’s Day, you can still pick up fresh flowers at 911 Adams St. that day We only ask that you call at least 24 hours ahead of time or place your order online so that we have them ready for you. Keep in mind that as we dwindle down the operation, there will not be any add- ons such as gifts and chocolates etc. Simply, beautiful fresh flowers.
Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts for your loyalty and continued patronage.

Daniella & Michael

26 Jul

Daniella and Michael’s wedding was postponed twice over two years but yesterday they finally got to celebrate with their family and friends! Atkinson Resort & Country Club was the perfect backdrop for their garden ceremony and Brandon from Avening Court Design created a stunning reception design. They said their vows, ate cake, and danced the night away! Thank you to the amazing Erica Pezente Photography for capturing these beautiful shots of our flowers and of a very beautiful couple and sharing them with us.

Employee Spotlight

23 Mar

Manager Stephanie Nilovic is a familiar face, having worked at Cedar Grove Gardens for over five years. With more than a decade of floral design experience, Stephanie is a natural leader behind the bench. We picked her brain with a Q&A session sure to enlighten newbies and regulars alike.

Where do you find inspiration? My Grandmother and her garden. Growing up I was always helping out in her garden. She took so much pride in her flower beds and vegetables! My grandmother spoke no English, but managed to make friends with all the neighbors by sharing what she had grown. She would make little bags of veggies and some cut blooms and leave them at their doorsteps. She instilled in me (or maybe brought out in me) a love for the beauty of flowers, and a desire to help others.
I love the floral business- through our work, we are able to touch lives. We meet people and get the privilege of being a part of their special events and moments in time.

What has been your favorite design project? My favorite recent floral project would have to be sculpting a mannequin out of chicken wire and creating a dress out of some fabrics and silk flowers. Less traditional from what I normally work on day to day at Cedar Grove Gardens, but it took me back to my floral design days, which was my major in school. So it made for a design project that I really enjoyed!
What is your favorite flower to work with? I have an appreciation for all flowers. They are all so beautiful and unique in their own right. My favorite flowers to design with would have to be anemones! They have big flower heads and look like they are always staring at you with their unique eyeball-looking centers. Plus, anemones like their sleep (much like myself). The flowers open in the heat of the day and close at night for a restful slumber. I love flowers with personalities!
